ATLANTE – Some Atlanta voters told Fox News they weren’t enthusiastic about either of their Senate candidates, while others were strongly in support of Sen. Raphael Warnock ahead of his debate. with Herschel Walker.
“I think they’re both horrible candidates, obviously,” one man, Simon, told Fox News.
But another voter, Al, said the decision between the pair was “pretty easy”.
“Herschel Walker was a football player. He’s not a politician. Period,” Al said.

Simon said Herschel Walker and Senator Raphael Warnock were “horrible candidates, obviously.”

Warnock, a first-term Democrat, and his Republican challenger, Walker, faced Friday night in Savannah in their only debate ahead of next month’s midterm elections. The two clashed over abortion and inflation, two issues that have been at the heart of midterm races across the country.
The debate drew lukewarm interest at a Human Rights Campaign-sponsored watch party in downtown Atlanta on Friday night, with only a handful of Warnock supporters in attendance.
“Herschel Walker, I think he’s ill-suited and ill-prepared for a position like this,” Simon told Fox News. “And I’m not convinced of Warnock’s candidacy.”
“I don’t think he had the impact that was expected of him,” he added.

Georgia’s seat is one of the main battleground races on the Senate map and could determine which party has a majority. More recent survey before the debate showed Warnock with a slight lead over Walker.
Walker and Warnock squared off in their first and only debate Friday night in Savannah, Georgia.

A woman, who belongs to the church where Warnock is pastoring, called the Democrat “honest”.
“He always wanted to be for the community, that’s all he wants,” she said.
A South Fulton voter, Al, said Herschel Walker had “become a puppet” for the Republican Party.

Walker, a former professional football star, has recently come under fire as he continues to deny a report he paid girlfriend abortion 13 years ago. A pro-Voice Choice candidate, Walker repeatedly called the allegation a “brainless lie.”
The controversy was further strengthened after his ex-wife’s son, conservative influencer Christian Walker, tweeted that his father was not a “family man” and accused him of abusive behavior.
“None of them are perfect, but I prefer Raphael Warnock,” Olivia told Fox News. “I just saw a lot of bad things about Herschel Walker. Even his own son didn’t support him.”
