Angelina Jolie spent some quality time with her daughter Vivienne on Wednesday, just as sources revealed that Brad Pitt’s relationship with the exes’ children is “strained” and “limited”.
The ‘Maleficent’ star, 47, and her 14-year-old son were spotted loading groceries from Lassens to Los Angeles into the trunk of their black SUV.
Jolie was dressed in a white dress with a gray shawl and had her hair pulled into a ponytail for the race.
Meanwhile, Vivienne looked comfortable in a Ben Platt concert t-shirt, gray sweatpants, a low bun and a face mask to keep her from contracting COVID-19.
The sighting came just a day after Jolie filed a new counterclaim against Pitt, 58, in which she alleged the ‘Fight Club’ star would have “strangled” one of their six children and “grabbed” and “shaken” her on the infamous 2016 private plane ride that ended their marriage.
The ‘Girl, Interrupted’ star claimed their children – who also include Maddox, 21, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16 and Vivienne’s twin, Knox – had been “traumatized” by the incident which took place in full flight from France to California after visiting their family castle.
“To date, not all of them have been able to return to Château Miraval due to its association with these traumatic events, including the children who are now legal adults,” Jolie’s lawyers said in court documents obtained by Page Six on Tuesday.
A source close to Pitt, however, told Page Six on Wednesday that Jolie the new allegations are “completely false”. The award-winning actor was also authorized by the FBI following a 2016 child abuse investigation.
Sources told TMZ Wednesday that the ‘Tomb Raider’ star has waged a “campaign of alienation,” which has led Pitt to have a “limited and strained relationship” with his children.
Insiders also claimed that Jolie “poisoned” the children to the point that the “Bullet Train” star had “little to no relationship with any of them.”
Pretty filed for divorce in September 2016 – just six days after the plane crash sparked a custody war between her and her ex.
In May 2019, a judge ruled that “Mr. & Mrs. Smith” co-stars would be share joint custody 50-50.
That same year, Maddox – the couple’s eldest child – gave insight into his broken relationship with his dad.
Asked by a reporter if their relationship might be over, the student replied, “Well, whatever happens, happens.”
Insiders previously told Page Six they believed Jolie had been use Maddox as a pawn.
“Maddox seemed prepared for the interview,” a suspicious source said in September 2019.
“He wasn’t trying to push the interviewer away – so people in the industry think it may have been an effort by Jolie’s camp to shake things up, even though things have been relatively quiet.”
